Hello all,

Hope you are all having a great time at the district meeting.   I’m sorry I can’t be there/here…well you know what I mean.  I’m missing all of you.  My report this month is quite short and hopefully sweet.  J

Just a reminder that June 2-4^th is Assembly in Ocala, Florida.  If you are new to being a GR, I’d like to let you know that your group is responsible for your hotel, gas, food and the $10 registration fee.  They elected you, or HP did, to represent them at this Assembly to vote on their behalf. I’ve heard more seasoned Al-Anon members share that service should not cost anything. On a personal note, I LOVE assembly.  It’s a weekend with lots of people doing recovery just like me…and some who are a little crazier, and some who are a little more sane, for balance. 

All of the dates on my previous reports and hotel information still are valid for this month. 

Gini, our new chairperson, sent out a copy of the procedures for Assembly.  These explain who can vote, who has a voice, and how the assembly is run.  It’s quite helpful.  If you need it, please feel free to email me and I will forward you a copy when I receive your email and after this weekend.

Don’t forget to make reservations for your hotel for convention, too.  Convention is filled with Fun workshops and speakers but is not a service responsibility.  This is not something that your group will cover.  Convention is August 11-13^th, which is a lot sooner than we may think.

September is recovery month. Let’s start brainstorming ideas for a funshop.
